Getting started: your first hour

This is the order we recommend for your first hour. You can stop after any step; everything is saved as you go.

Create your account
Open the signup page, enter your business name, email and a password. Confirm your email if asked.

Business settings
Settings → Business: currency, time zone, financial year start, date format, and your logo for receipts.

Tax rates
Settings → Tax rates: add each rate (for example a state + city rate, or VAT 5%) and combine them into tax groups.

Your first location
Settings → Business locations: name it the way staff say it (“Main St”). Add the address and receipt layout.

A few products
Products → Add: add five of your best sellers with prices so you can test.

A test sale
Open the register, ring one item, take cash, print the receipt, then close the register.
