Diner POS features, ten on the board

GetDinerPOS covers the five things a diner chain cannot run without — multi-store menus, central reporting, stock transfers, table service with kitchen tickets, staff roles per location — plus recipes, modifiers, loyalty and reservations. Every one is on the board.

FAQ

Questions about features

What features does a multi-location restaurant POS need?

At minimum: one menu with prices per location, reports across locations, stock transfers between stores, table service with kitchen tickets, and staff roles limited by location. Everything else (loyalty, bookings, recipes) makes it easier to run, but those five are what break first when you open a second branch.

Are all features included in every plan?

Table service, kitchen orders, modifiers, staff roles, loyalty, bookings and the online store come with every plan. Per-location price lists, stock transfers and recipe costing are part of Chain and Group, because they only matter with more than one location. See pricing.

Is there an extra charge per register or tablet?

No. Pricing is per location. Registers, tablets, kitchen screens and staff users are unlimited.

Does it work offline?

It is a hosted system, so each location needs internet to ring sales. A 4G/5G backup router is the reliable fix and costs little.

Can I connect my own tools?

The Group plan includes API access. Other integrations (delivery apps, accounting) are planned — ask on your demo what is available for your setup.

Which hardware works?

Tablets, laptops and touch terminals with a modern browser, plus ESC/POS thermal printers, cash drawers and barcode scanners. See the hardware guide.

Can I see the features before signing up?

Yes — book a 30-minute demo with your own menu, or start the 30-day trial with no card.

Is GetDinerPOS different from the other POS editions?

It is the diner and multi-location edition of a family of trade editions. The hub, SmartPOS Hub, compares them all.
